Lion Country: Night and Day Episode No- 2

This documentary series follows two lion prides that share overlapping territory in South Luangwa National Park, Zambia. Over the course of six months, filming 24 hours per day, a specialist camera team tracks two separate lion families while encamped deep in the bush. A close, but somewhat dangerous, proximity to the prides allows the crew to capture the most intimate and dramatic moments of these big cats' lives. Classed as `vulnerable' by the International Union for Conservation of Nature, the world lion population is down by 40 per cent over the last 20 years, making the cubs invaluable to the future of the species.
