During the chase, rain interrupted the match, leading to the application of the DLS system to revise the target based on the remaining overs and wickets. At the time play was halted, England were behind the required DLS par score, meaning New Zealand were ahead on calculations. Consequently, New Zealand Women were declared winners by 17 runs.
