At the martial arts competition to decide Le Yan's husband, no one dares to volunteer to fight with She Er. Le Yan stops Shu Yu from getting on the stage as Shu Yu volunteers himself to protect Le Yan as a brother, but not as a lover. Just when She Er thinks that he wins, Hao Du appears on the stage. He ends up being beaten by She Er and Le Yan realizes that she has feelings for Hao Du.
