Love at first sight. That’s what it is for Woo Jin when he sees Seo Ri for the first time. He finally gets his chance to speak with her, but he chickens out. As a result, he ends up having a misunderstanding that changes his whole life. Seo Ri is a 17-year-old violin prodigy set to go to Germany. That is, until she gets into a serious accident and ends up in a coma.

Seo Ri meets Woo Jin and Chan at her uncle’s house. She is told that her uncle and aunt no longer live there, and that they left in a hurry. Seo Ri leaves the home and wanders the streets. Woo Jin cleans up his look and returns to work. He worries that Deok Gu hasn’t been eating or sleeping and takes him to the hospital. Meanwhile, Seo Ri continues to look for her aunt and uncle.

Hyung Tae is looking everywhere for Seo Ri. Seo Ri hears that the hospital is looking for her, but she doesn't have plans to go back. When Seo Ri learns that Woo Jin used to study in Germany, she becomes very interested in him. Seo Ri is disappointed to find out that she didn’t make the cut, and Chan tries to console her. Furthermore, he invites her to have pot tteokbokki with him.

While in the car with Woo Jin, Seo Ri sees a man who she believes is her uncle. She runs toward him in the middle of the street. Suddenly, Woo Jin experiences flashbacks of the accident. He grabs her hand and begs her not to go. However, Seo Ri is upset and blames him for not being able to find her uncle. After realizing that she may have mistaken some other man for her uncle, Seo Ri feels guilty.

While talking with his client at a coffee shop, Woo Jin sees Seo Ri wearing makeup and entering what it seems to be a bar. He hurriedly ends the meeting and rushes inside the bar, shouting her name. The bouncers drag him out, and he sees Seo Ri outside. She asks him whether he went in there because he was worried about her, but Woo Jin continues to avoid answering her.

Chan continues to overtrain. Jennifer reveals how she knows so many facts. Woo-jin overhears a conversation that makes him want to protect Seo-ri. A chat with a stranger brings Seo-ri to a realization. Conductor Sim Myeong-han has a frank talk with Tae-rin. Chan's team competes for a medal.

Chan ignores an injury to compete in the singles race. Tae-rin asks to meet with Seo-ri. Dr. Kim Hyeong-tae finally finds who he has been looking for. While Seo-ri takes to her bed in grief, Woo-jin agonizes whether to reveal his part in her accident. Jennifer recalls her own link to the crash.

Seo Ri tells Woo-jin her side of their pre-accident story. Chan admits his feelings to Seo-ri, who later meets the man who paid for her hospitalization. Seo-ri finally learns what happened to her relatives, and both she and Chan are faced with difficult decisions about their future.

Woo Jin's older sister and Chan's mother, Gong Hyun Jung, surprises everyone by dropping by Woo Jin's place. Worried that his mom would get mad for allowing a stranger to live at their place, the boys decide to lie to her and say that Seo Ri is their housekeeper. However, Seo Ri feels very uncomfortable about lying and tries her best not to be seen by her.

In an empty dark house, Seo Ri and Woo Jin share time together. He shows her the free tteokbokki coupon that he won and asks her if she wants to have it with him. Suddenly, he gets a call from Deok Su and finds out that Chan has fainted. He rushes out to see him and leaves Seo Ri worried. While working, Woo Jin notices that a worker is trying to introduce his son to Seo Ri. It keeps bothering him.

Woo Jin realizes that he can perfectly distinguish Seo Ri and the girl who died 13 years ago. He goes to his therapist and tells him that he does not want to hide his emotions to others, especially to Seo Ri, just because of the incident 13 years ago. Meanwhile, Jennifer gives the boys a strict diet plan in order for them to win the competition.

Seo Ri explains to Woo Jin she's okay with being used as an enticement for tickets because to her, the chance to play the violin on stage again and the chance that her uncle, who threw her away, might see her and find her, is a small price to pay. Upset at Woo Jin for trying to stop her, Seo Ri runs to the rehearsal hall and practices throughout the night to feel better.

Woo Jin and Seo Ri share their first kiss. When Woo Jin tells her that it is his first time as well, Seo Ri is shocked and asks him what he had been doing up until now. Meanwhile, thanks to Seo Ri's hard work, Hee Su decides to turn her into a full-time employee, and Woo Jin is the most excited.

Woo Jin realizes that the girl he liked was actually Woo Seo Ri. He sobs uncontrollably while thanking her for being alive. However, Seo Ri is very confused as to why he is acting this way. Meanwhile, Chan is shocked when a nurse addresses Woo Jin as Seo Ri's boyfriend. However, he tells himself that it must all be a big misunderstanding.

Woo Jin confesses everything to Seo Ri and tells her that it is his fault that she is in a coma. However, Seo Ri tells him that she knew him even before he knew her and tells him the whole story. The next day, Woo Jin finds out that Chan has taken Seo Ri out. Chan confesses his feelings to Seo Ri but tells her that it is all in the past.

Mi Hyun musters up the courage to approach Seo Ri. She gives her Hyun Gyu's diary that he wrote to Seo Ri while he was taking care of her. Furthermore, it turns out that they had gotten a divorce as a means of protecting Seo Ri's house from the bankruptcy. Rin Kim has invited Seo Ri to come to Berlin, Germany and attend the music school she is currently in.
