Master spy Twilight, posing as psychiatrist Loid Forger, must infiltrate Eden College to get close to his target, Desmond. To do so, he adopts a young girl, Anya-unaware she's a telepath who can read minds. Together, they form an unlikely family to prevent a war in the tense nation of Ostania.

Yor Briar, secretly the assassin 'Thorn Princess,' agrees to a fake marriage with Loid, a spy needing a mother figure for his daughter Anya to pass a school interview. Unaware of each other's secrets, they form a pretend family-while Anya, a telepath, knows the truth and pushes them together to stay with her new parents.

Yor moves in with Loid and Anya, completing their pretend family. As they prepare for the elite school interview, a mock test reveals they're far from convincing. To build unity and better portray an upper-class family, Loid takes them out to bond and learn proper etiquette together.

The Forgers arrive at Eden College for the crucial interview exam. Loid quickly realizes they're being observed-teachers are secretly evaluating candidates from the moment they enter. The real test has already begun, and the family's fate hinges on every move they make.
