We travel 300 years in the past to a time when the Maratha Empire was flourishing. A young Ahilya is seen working on her embroidery, as her parents observe and criticize her. Soon, it gets apparent how society was driven by gender roles when Gautama explains the throne's significance to Khanderao. Later, Ahilya finds out that her newlywed friend, Renu is finding it difficult to live with her in-laws.

Episode 1

Ahilya and her friends rush straight to the temple where Sushila and Mankoji are waiting. She gets scolded by her mother for arguing with the Pandit. Now she has decided to create her own temple with new rules. Meanwhile, Malhar Rao is concerned about his son Khanderao, and his capabilities as a ruler.

Episode 2

Just when Gangoba and the others start to feel helpless, Malhar Rao comes up with an escape plan. Meanwhile, Khanderao manipulates Gautama into giving him a free day instead of learning his lessons. At Ahilya's house, Pathak Guruji predicts what the future holds for Ahilya.

Episode 3

Ahilya and Khanderao are poles apart. Ahilya is a kind-natured soul with humans as well as animals. On the other hand, Malhar Rao's son, Khanderao, gets joy out of tormenting his horse.

Episode 4

Malhar Rao thanks Mankoji for giving him and his men shelter at their place, even though it was a risk. Later on, Malhar Rao is yet again amazed by Ahilya's worldview. Watch the episode to find out more.

Episode 5

Ahilya brings her pet cow, Kapila back home even before the puja is concluded. Everyone wants to punish her for disrupting the ritual. However, Malhar's intervention helps ease her difficulty. But since Ahilya was still at fault, she would have to atone in some other way.

Episode 6

Ahilya thanks Malhar for speaking on her behalf at the temple. She goes to the river as part of her punishment but, is quite surprised to see how several women have been braving all kinds of hardships to fetch water from the river every day. Meanwhile, Mankoji seems to be acting strange around Ahilya. What could be the reason?

Episode 7

Malhar helps mend the relations between Ahilya and her father. Later, Ahilya comes to meet her friend, Renu and sees her head being shaved off. Will Ahilya disrupt the ritual to protect her friend?

Episode 8

Ahilya wants to visit Renu yet again, but her parents strictly warn her against it. She plans to make an escape and meet Renu. Malhar helps Ahilya escape when he sees her climbing down a tree. Meanwhile, Khanderao participates in a 'Kushti' competition to win a fine horse that he has been eyeing for long.

Episode 9

When met with opposition from the villagers, Malhar reveals his identity before them. Later, he proposes that Ahilya and his son Khanderao be married off. Sushila and Mankoji are overwhelmed. However, Ahilya's views on marriage are less than favourable.

Episode 10

Upon hearing Malhar Rao's proposal, Ahilya's parents feel overwhelmed. Meanwhile, Gangoba is assigned the task of informing Gautama about this new development.

Episode 11

Gautama makes Khanderao understand the true meaning of being a 'Rajkumar'. Malhar fixes the date of the wedding before leaving for Pune. What will Ahilya say when she finds out about her wedding?

Episode 12

Ahilya finds out that Malhar Rao was the one who came up with the wedding proposal. Meanwhile, Sushila and Mankoji make Ahilya understand the importance of getting married and how she cannot stay with her parents forever. Will Ahilya accept this marriage?

Episode 13

Gangoba breaks the news of Khanderao and Ahilya's wedding to Gautama. Meanwhile, everyone in the village starts treating Ahilya like royalty, but that seems to upset her even more.

With no other hope left, Ahilya prays for the wedding to be called off. Her friends decide to help her and try to manipulate the situations so that Ahilya can be free from the burden of marriage. Will their plan work?

Episode 15

Gautama sends Ahilya off before she can meet Khanderao. Meanwhile, Malhar tries to talk to Ahilya, but she is still upset with him for fixing her marriage. What will happen once Gautama and Ahilya come face to face again?

Episode 16

Malhar is confident that Gautama is going to like Ahilya when she meets her. But she is stunned to know that she is the same girl whom she met along the way. Ahilya's parents get extremely worried to see Gautama's displeasure.

Much to Sushila and Mankoji's relief, Malhar has not changed his thoughts about marriage, and he proceeds with the 'Shagun'. Ahilya, who had been looking for an opportune moment to speak to Khanderao, decides to sneak out and meet him.

Episode 18

Gautama still seems to be disapproving of Ahilya as her daughter-in-law. Hence, Malhar and Gautama propose a challenge to test Ahilya's worth as their 'Bahu'. Meanwhile, Ahilya and Khanderao's unlikely pairing continues to grow.

Episode 19

Gautama is not convinced with Khanderao's decision of choosing Ahilya as their daughter-in-law. Ahilya proposes a solution to light the incense stick in the house which impresses Khanderao.

Episode 20

Ahilya's unique perspective on the world continues to impress everyone but Gautama. Meanwhile, Ahilya plays a prank on Khanderao, which has him shivering with fear.

Episode 21

Gautama starts scolding Ahilya, but Malhar comes to her rescue. Mankoji is worried about Gautama's unhappiness with the marriage. Will Ahilya manage to win over her mother-in-law's heart?

Episode 22

Khanderao impresses everyone with his ability to play the Shehnai. Ahilya takes revenge on Khanderao by disrupting his performance. Meanwhile, Gautama is not willing to marry his son with Ahilya.

Malhar agrees with Ahilya's idea of establishing a well, instead of a temple. However, this decision rubs Gautama the wrong way, and her opinion of Ahilya worsens. Meanwhile, Ahilya's mother is worried about her daughter's marriage.

To everyone's surprise, Gautama not only agrees for Ahilya and Khanderao's marriage but, also starts showing enthusiasm for it. However, Ahilya is still not ready for the wedding. What will Ahilya do now?

Ahilya's friends advise her to accept her fate and marry Khanderao. Meanwhile, Malhar promises to help Ahilya whenever she needs it.

After being insulted by Ahilya, Khanderao challenges her to a friendly sword fight. Ahilya refuses to give up and tries her best. However, Malhar comes in the nick of time to stop it. What will happen now?

Ahilya saves Khanderao when the bell falls down. Gautama is disappointed and thinks that Ahilya's parents have not done proper preparations. However, Malhar thinks that someone planned to spoil the wedding. What will happen now?

Malhar gets a clue about the person behind the bell incident. Ahilya, Khanderao and others play hide and seek, but Khanderao plans to trick her. Ahilya's insecurity about this union with Khanderao continues to grow.

Ahilya gets scolded by Gautama for removing her mangal sutra. Later on, Ahilya goes to the garden to pick tulsi leaves. In her efforts to help a sick gardener she gets late and Gautama reprimands her. Repeated scolding and rejection from Gautama takes a toll on Ahilya and she decides to leave the haveli.

Gautama realizes Ahilya has left the Haveli and frantically starts looking for her everywhere before Malhar finds out. Ahilya attracts attention while travelling alone and two men start to follow her. Meanwhile, Dwarka also finds out about Ahilya going missing and starts plotting her next move.

Ahilya somehow escapes from the bandits. However, being tired and exhausted, she passes out in the middle of the road. Meanwhile, Malhar finds out that Khanderao was behind all of this, and he scolds Khanderao for torturing Ahilya.

Khanderao and his search party go looking for Ahilya. Malhar leaves to look for Ahilya as well, unaware that Khanderao is conducting his own search. Ahilya is rescued by someone who she thinks is Lord Shiv himself and this man tries to put Ahilya on the right path.

On their way back to their Haveli, Ahilya gets kidnapped while Bhola is left badly injured. Khanderao and Malhar come face to face while on their search for Ahilya. What will happen next?

Malhar finds Bhola, badly injured and lying in the middle of the road. Meanwhile, Khanderao reaches the kidnapper's hideout and finds Ahilya. Will he be able to rescue Ahilya?

Khanderao naively sits on Subedar's Gaddi and gets a scolding from Malhar. Dhanaji advises Malhar to take Khanderao's test to prove if he is worthy. Khanderao tries to kill time with Ahilya so that he can evade the test.

Malhar introduces a puzzle to Khanderao, which he has to answer by the next day. Gautama tries to talk Malhar out of taking Khanderao's test. Meanwhile, Ahilya realizes the pressure that is on Khanderao's shoulders.
