Welcome to JioTV

We are in the early '70s, and police Inspector Dario Maltese returns to the city of his birth, Trapani, in Sicily, which he left after his father's death 20 years earlier. In all this time he has never been back. Inspector Dario Maltese returns to Trapani for the wedding of his friend Gianni Peralta. Peralta, a police inspector himself in Trapani, does not make it as far as the altar.

The investigation reaches a turning point. The presumed killer of Inspector Gianni Peralta is arrested. Maltese questions him, but he is unconvinced. The case which everyone seems to want closed as quickly as possible is still open as far as he is concerned.

The Red Herring

The man who took the photograph to the paper has a long criminal record. Maltese has him followed and studies his habits and behaviour. Maltese also discovers that the man's name pops up in one of the last cases Inspector Perlata was dealing with: the disappearance of a female student.

Shadows of the Past

Maltese is convinced he has all he needs to solve the Peralta case, but finds himself along against everybody. The witness, the photograph man he arrested and got a confession from, and who spoke to him openly about the Mafia, is transferred to a special hospital where he is killed.

Buried Secrets

Dario Maltese's investigation leads him to believe that his friend was killed because of an inquiry that was taking place outside of the usual channels. An inquiry that had as its object drug trafficking in the city. The Chief of Police backs Dario in his intention to pursue this line of inquiry.

The Money Trail

Dario Maltese has managed to get very close to the heart of an occult power in Trapani and the response is immediate. The idea of the powerful Trapani family is of co-opting him into their ranks and manages to exploit the occasion to obtain from the most fragile member of the family a confidence that opens up a new and unexpected twist in the investigation.

Bloodlines and Betrayal

Following the deaths of most of the Melendez family, Dario realises that the balance of power is changing and that there is a danger of the truth slipping through his fingers. He has to find out who the land where the new airport is to be built belongs to. He has to force the issue, because he will never be able to obtain these documents by legal means.

The Woman in the Shadows

The woman's name is the key that allows the inspector to arrive at the truth. A truth concealed in the folds of the past.
