Gang-joo is heads down to visit Soon-bok to ask for Doo-rim’s hand in marriage when Yi-gyeong calls. She is leaving for Sydney the next day and wants to meet him for one last time. Gang-joo visits Yi-gyeong and is handed a glass of wine to commemorate their farewell. As Gang-joo is leaving, Yi-gyeong starts to lose consciousness. This was all her plan to commit suicide.
