Badrinath Ki Dulhania

In Jhansi, Badri's traditional, patriarchal upbringing by his dominant father has shaped him into a chauvinist. He seeks the ideal bride in Vaidehi, an ambitious girl from Kota. Unlike Badri, Vaidehi fights to escape male dominance, craving the independence and identity rarely afforded to small-town Indian women.
