Oregon has a rich gold mining history, but the Falls City foragers featured in `Truffle Wars' are looking for buried treasures of a different kind. They are on the hunt for black truffles, one of the world's most expensive delicacies. The competition is fierce, and a record-breaking drought and winter's early arrival have lowered supplies and spiked prices. It's a risky business, as the truffle men of Oregon face the elements, animal predators and greenhorns who are willing to set traps, sabotage patches and do whatever it takes to strike it rich.
