Thaanaa Serndha Koottam is an action comedy heist movie which takes place in 1987.  Iniyan, an educated youth from a humble background fails to join the Central Bureau of Intelligence (CBI) due to the wrath of a corrupt official. The story is about how he executes bold heists to loot corrupted people, with his own gang of con artists posing as CBI and Income Tax Officers.
