Laila Majnu is a 1976 Hindi fantasy starring Rishi Kapoor, Ranjeeta and Danny Denzongpa. It is based on the legendary story of Layla and Majnun. Majnu, known as Qais and Laila are born to rival clans. The heads of the clans kept them apart. But many years later, Qais visits Laila’s town to buy camels, meets her and they fall in love. But her brother Tabrez has killed Qais’ father and he now wants revenge. Qais is exiled, Laila gets married off to a prince and they remain star-crossed!
